Come join us Sunday, September 17, 2006 from 2 pm - 5 pm for our Mad Hatters Herbal Tea Party & Open House. See children's performances, view beautiful gardens, artworks, and future plans. Refreshments and herbal tea from the gardens will be served. Wear a special hat, bring your teapot and invite your friends and family! All ages are welcome.

Environmental Skills/Green Job Training for Adults
San Francisco, August 15, 2006
The Environmental Skills / Green Job Training Program is a hands-on program for low-income adults and 18-24 year olds residing in Excelsior, OMI, Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Mission, Potrero Hill, Bay View, and Hunter's Point, who are primarily immigrants from diverse cultures. This program is organized in conjunction with City College and the SF Recreation and Park Department among other collaborative partners.

Skills and topics that will be covered in the class include: Horticulture & Urban Agriculture, Multicultural Gardening, Plant Propagation/Nursery, Composting/Soil Building, Tree Planting & Pruning, Animals/Aquaculture, Ecological Restoration, California Native Plants, Green Design & Careers, Natural & Recycled Building, Water & Energy Conservation, Irrigation/Gray Water, Solar & Wind Energy, Bio-Diesel Fuel Production, Computer Training, and ESL Training.

Director of Life Frames, Inc. & A Living Library Appointed to San Francisco Urban Forestry Council

Life Frames, Inc. and A Living Library are pleased to announce that its Founder and Director, Bonnie Ora Sherk, has been appointed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to the San Francisco Urban Forestry Council. The Urban Forestry Council helps set city policy to plant and protect trees in San Francisco.

Join us to help with our newly planted California Natives, bringing ourselves and children closer to understanding our environment and healing our local place.
