Think Park Nature Walk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forty-five, 6th Grade Students and their Teachers from the\u00a0<em><strong>Creative Arts Charter School<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>in San Francisco, joined <em><strong>Life Frames, Inc.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em><strong>SF Recreation &amp; Park Department<\/strong> in <strong>St. Mary&#8217;s Park <\/strong><\/em>on Friday, January 17th, to plant about 100 California native plants\u00a0in <em>St. Mary&#8217;s Park<\/em>, as part of the\u00a0<b><i>Bernal Heights Living Library &amp; Think Park Nature Walk.\u00a0 <\/i><\/b>The students also learned about the<b><i> Islais Creek, <\/i><\/b>the<i><\/i><b><i> Islais Creek Watershed, <\/i><\/b><i> <\/i>and did some weeding in the <em>Nature Walk<\/em>.\u00a0 They accomplished much by their help, and the<b><i>\u00a0Nature Walk<\/i> <\/b>is growing<b><i> <\/i><\/b>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/alivinglibrary.org\/archive-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/small5.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"small5\" src=\"https:\/\/alivinglibrary.org\/archive-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/small5-250x187.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"187\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/alivinglibrary.org\/archive-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/small2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"small2\" src=\"https:\/\/alivinglibrary.org\/archive-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/small2-250x187.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alivinglibrary.org\/archive-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/small7.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"small7\" src=\"https:\/\/alivinglibrary.org\/archive-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/small7-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"630\" height=\"472\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Volunteers planted all California Natives:\u00a0 Matilija Poppy (<em>Romneya coulteri<\/em>), Yarrow (<em>Achillea spp.<\/em>), Douglas Iris (<em>Iris douglasiana<\/em>), Sticky Monkey (<em>Mimulus aurantiacus<\/em>), Ceanothus (<em>Ceanothus<\/em> &#8216;Ray Hartman&#8217;), California Milkweed (<em>Asclepias californica<\/em>),\u00a0Buckwheat (<em>Eriogonum giganteum<\/em>), Penstemon (<em>Penstemon<\/em>\u00a0&#8216;Electric Blue&#8217;
