Summer is going to end soon ! Before green leaves turn dry brown and red, here is an update about the\u00a0work\u00a0A Living Library \u00a0<\/em>accomplished\u00a0through the summer season in our Gardens in New York and San Francisco.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0Roosevelt Island<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Living Library & Think Park Gardens<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0in New York City, students from Roosevelt Island School Beacon (PS\/ IS 217) enjoyed various garden activities while learning about science and ecology during their after-school classes. Here are a few pictures capturing their enthusiasm in the RI Living Library Gardens<\/em>:<\/p>\n

We have two new effervescent souls, China Bushell as the new\u00a0A.L.L. Instructor and Gardener\u00a0<\/em>and Emma King as volunteer in our A.L.L.\u00a0<\/em>team, dedicating their time and efforts towards planting and beautifying the\u00a0Roosevelt Island Living Library & Think Park.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In San Francisco,\u00a0A.L.L. ECO-Stewards<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0had fun contributing to the environment while getting paid under the A.L.L. Green Futures Paid Internship Program\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/a>at the\u00a0OMI\/ Excelsior Living Library & Think Park<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0Bernal Heights Living Library & Think Park Nature Walk<\/strong>.<\/em>\u00a0Volunteer Day\u00a0<\/em>events\u00a0on June 26 & July 10 witnessed a\u00a0large group of volunteers from Salesforce turning up\u00a0to help San Miguel and Denman students in the\u00a0OMI\/ Excelsior Living Library & Think Park<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/em>Here are a few images:<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the\u00a0Rear Yard of James Denman Middle School <\/em><\/strong>has been transformed into a blooming garden of bright colors this summer. Does anyone remember how it looked earlier<\/a>? The transformed environment looks beautiful with California Native Trees and Understory Plants\u00a0<\/em>around the new Redwood Circle<\/em>, serving as a new Outdoor Classroom for students and community.<\/p>\n
