Sitting Still No. 1,
San Francisco, California 1970
Performance by Bonnie Sherk appearing formally dressed and seated
in a stuffed chair seated in a flooded dump, facing moving traffic which
became the “audience” for the performance. Her desire is to create
an art that is based on confronting life. Sherk confronted the flow
of life around her by sitting in a chair for extended periods of time
in environments often bizarre in nature. | | |
