What an incredible day! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for our 7th Annual Plant, Flowers, Vegetables & Natives Sale. Seeing so many community members come together to celebrate gardening, nature, and neighborhood connections made this event truly special.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, purchased plants, shared stories, asked questions, and supported our mission. Your enthusiasm and participation help make events like these possible and strengthen our growing community of nature lovers on Roosevelt Island.

This year’s theme, “Go Native!”, highlighted the importance of native plants and the vital role they play in our environment. Native plants provide food and habitat for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife, while helping to create healthier, more resilient ecosystems. By planting native species in our gardens, balconies, and community spaces, we’re investing in a greener future for our neighborhoods and our city.
We’re grateful to everyone who chose to bring home a plant and become part of that effort.

As summer approaches, we look forward to welcoming you back for our Roosevelt Island gardening and environmental education programs. From hands-on gardening activities to opportunities to learn about local ecosystems, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and explore.
Thank you for helping us grow a stronger, greener, and more connected community. We can’t wait to see you in the garden this summer!
With gratitude,
The Team at A Living Library 🌱
