Student Stewards in the A.L.L. Green Futures After-School Program at the OMI/Excelsior Living Library & Think Park earned money by selling their fresh produce and herbs, and bouquets of beautiful flowers that they helped to grow to neighbors at the local BART station.
They researched different species of animals and decided that they would like to use these funds to bring chickens to their A.L.L. Garden environment. To convince the Director of the Program and the School Principal, they made a presentation about the opportunities and constraints of such an undertaking. These are a few pictures of their presentation. Enjoy !
